Dalila is a lovely Philistine who apparently loves Samson, leader of the Hebrews. Samson has successfully rebelled against Dalila’s comrades, and has also been incapable to resist her charms. Dalila’s goal is revenge. Waiting for Samson in her garden, she wants to take retaliation not only for herself but for her gods.

Voici l’heure de la vengeance
Qui doit satisfaire nos dieux.
